Okay, so I did said that I will me more confident in using my bag since it is basically waterproofed. I do not mean that I literally have to test if it works.
Last Sunday, after the mass (at St. Mary's Church) we went to Solomon Pond Mall to return an item and to buy a gift for Sarah's 5th birthday. As we are about to go home, I slipped in the parking lot at the back of our suv. Ooouch! Half of my pants is wet from the slush and my bag was put to the test. I slipped together with my bag, both of our bottoms in the slush. At first, I blame it on the slippery area but, I realized that it was my mistake to wear my new oxfords. The soles of the shoes has no traction AT ALL. I did not realize that it was slippery, and all I know is that I'm so excited to wear my new shoes.
Anyways, inside the car I examined my bag immediately. The bottom/side part is wet and in some areas has wet dirt. Good thing hubby kept a rag inside the car. After cleaning it up, there was watermarks left at the piping of the bag. The vachetta now has watermark and I was so bummed that the shining monkey thing did not work. Hubby assured me it was nothing and I'm lucky that I am safe and the bag is afterall just a bag. He was right so I tried to relax. I joked about it that I now have to buy a new one LOL! After a few minutes, the watermarks are slowly disappearing and when I got home It was barely noticeable. I guess the shining monkey spray worked!!! yay! :D We can't tell anymore where the watermarks are. Whether it worked or not, i believe it did.... I know now that I need not to stress too much on an object. It is a bag, meant to be used and loved. Any signs of wear are alright as it means it is used and serves its purpose. :) *sigh* Live, laugh, love! don't worry, be happy! :)
